How to use Ready Mix Plaster

Plastering is the process of covering ceiling, column, walls, and many other parts of a building with a thin coat of mortar to produce a smooth, hard, and durable surface that can protect the outer surface against rainwater and other nature’s harm. 1. The first and foremost step in making this plaster is cleaning the substrate and making it free from grease and loose particles. 

2. Substrates that are absorbent and porous require pre-wetting before the application of the plaster. This is carried out to prevent premature loss of water from the plaster. This also ensures that a thin layer can be applied to give proper white cement hydration and adherence of the mortar to the substrate without fearing or worrying about cracking problems. 

3. To achieve best results, use 7-8 liters of water for Birla White Levelplast and mix it well to achieve good consistency. Use a mechanical mixer to do the same. Keep in mind that you do not over mix or else it can negatively impact the output. 

4. Once the mixture is ready, allow it to stand for a couple of minutes for additives to dissolve properly. 

5. Mix it again for around 2 minutes. Your plaster is finally ready for use. Now, apply the plaster to the substrate. 

6. While finishing, it’s advisable to use some pressure with a wooden float or a steel trowel to attain superior level of bonding of the plaster on the substrate surface. Not just on the exterior surface, Birla White levelplast curing-free Ready-mix Plaster can be used for interior walls as well.
